Trafotek Oy specialises in power transformers and reactors,

and manufactures and supplies inductive components mainly for the power

electronics and ship building industries.

So far, we have produced more than 20,000 different transformer and reactor designs.

Trafotek has had a certified ISO 9001 quality system since 1995.

All our products are manufactured with materials of the highest quality.

The transformers and reactors are designed and manufactured to the

thermal class F or H, and if required for the enclosure classes IP 00 - IP 55.

The products can also be equipped with accessories such as wheels,

devices for electrical and thermal protection or switches.

As the conduction material of our transformers and reactors, either copper

wire or Al/Cu foil is used. Whatever their size, all our products pass through

a vacuum-impregnation process, which improves their mechanical and

electrical properties. All transformers and reactors are tested before delivery.

TRANSFORMERS

The power range of our transformers is 1 kVA - 12 MVA.

They are mainly for low or medium voltage. As special applications,

we produce transformers up to 15 kV. Our transformers conform

with the IEC 76 standard and if required, they can be manufactured

to meet the requirements of the norms and specifications of the following

classification societies: LRS, RINA, GL, DNV, BV, ABS, RMRS.

We also manufacture UL approved transformers.

REACTORS

The reactors manufactured by us feature either an iron or an air core.

In an air-core reactor, the magnetic flux travels in air, maintaining inductance

with all currents. An air-core reactor is used in motor start-up or

frequency transformer control applications. When higher inductance

values than those achieved with an air-core reactor are required,

iron-core reactors are used. In relation to their capacity, iron-core reactors

are smaller than air-core ones, with smaller losses. In dimensioning,

it is possible to take into account peaks and harmonic waves in the current.

The reactors are manufactured to the IEC76 and IEC289 standards.

We also manufacture UL approved reactors.
